It was a Fun day meeting and talking with Bonnie !!!

Looking around this Morning at the front of the FS, it’s only about 3’ in the front and a strip about a minimum 2” wide needs replaced ... as when we filled in the kerfs down at the bottom especially , all that got filled in with Great Stuff and is solid now !!! TG !!! Looks like the front replacement could be as simple as a strip of common fiberglass tape across the area... Same as we did on the Foamie #1 (now Nookery) ... Or we could remove the canvas layers attached underneath the floor and start all over with a canvas replacement of the general area and the fiberglass reinforcing strip/tape . likely making a “Better Job “ ...
For now , I’d just like to get in there with the vacuum and get all the little foam beads off the floor ... and rug ... a good Hoovering' and we’re ready to rig it for EVAC ... partially anyway ...

GPW, I thought you already took care of that little trouble spot in the front. Are you just revisiting that again, or did you not complete the repair?

KC, I stopped the leaks and substantially solidified the front end , but never re-did the canvas repair ... as yet ... it’s just been a HOT and rainy summer here and I just haven’t felt like doing that job yet (old)... Still thinking , but not doing .... I’d like to add an airdam/drip edge to the front ... or I could add a bit of foam strip to fill out the curved under nose , and make it flat to the front ... I want to fix it right and the best way , which may involve getting the bottom canvas + reinforcing strip overlapped under the floor , glued, stapled, and undercoated over... Off ... so we can replace that with a new reinforcing strip and outer trim strip .
Even after all this time , there’s still more we’d like to do on the FS ... nothing major , just “details” , as KC has suggested. Thing is , we don’t want to add any weight .... it’s Big now , but tows like nothing’s there, and I rather Like that ...

As far as the Nookery ... Can’t really say eh ??? It did have two windows ..... one large (egress-able) and one very tiny . We’ll have to ask Bonnie ...

No window as of yet. I did add a hatch on the back to put the AC through. I am trying to decide what to do. I could use a bit better cross ventilation. The tiny window doesn't open. I may add a window in the door.

If this is of any interest .... I originally planned for several windows on the #1, ones that I could salvage from an old Custom Van that was sitting on my neighbor’s abandoned property down the street , but before I found her to ask , it got hauled away .... Grrrr!!! Big Rv coach was hauled away too ... Incredible Salvage opportunity ... all gone !!!

Windows in the doors is always a good thing. Is that bump on top a fantastic fan? That'll move a lot of air!

Mike, just a vent. I've mounted two 120mm case fans and they help. I went all of CRA without AC.

Hey GPW quick question if i may.
Whats the least wasteful way to apply the tb2 to stick bed sheets on?
Im using heavier canvas on the sides and my roof is going to have aluminium floated over it so im going with sheets instead.
If i was to use a roller what sort of slieve would work best without wasting a ton of glue getting soaked into it.foam or those fluffy ones.
Or could i just brush it on?.

For large areas like the sides, I use a roller. I've tried the adhesive rollers, but prefer the standard rollers. Use 1/4" nap or 3/8" nap. Yea, your going to lose a little bit of glue due to the roller sucking it up, but you need the roller for speed, and ability to apply glue thick enough. I used 3/8" nap on the outside of the Mad Dash, and put the glue on nice and thick, and it worked well. My 10 oz canvas even shrank a little bit, giving me a nice taut finish! I used the glue full strength.

Dale , just a standard roller works fine ... or a brush (more work) ... Remember to thin the T2 a little to get it to roll easily ... You can see how well it worked for Mike ^ .... me too ... You want 100% coverage of the glue , no dry spots ... The Glue is one of the cheapest components so don’t stint on that ...

With the old second hand bedsheets for the roof theres obviously no point in washing and preshrinking them but how wet should they be.
Should i mist them with water prior to fitting to the glued up ply?
