Since when did this become a dirty word that can't be used here?

Lesbians? Some of my best friends are Lesbians. I think they would be offended if they knew that in the singular they are not allowed but in groups or plural as it were they are ok.

I ran into this problem last year when describing a to Provincetown, a popular vacation destination for G+L folks. It perplexed me as well since the word in question is neither derrogatory or profane. Mike, is there any way to edit that default list?

BTW - I've browsed the personal galleries and web sites of many of our members. I know of at least two women members who have same-sex partners. Let's refrain from making any potentially offensive jokes or remarks.

The weird thing is, I don't think anyone here has ever said anything real derogatory about other sexual preferences. And even though I think a MAJORITY of us here support everyone's rights to that effect, that's a different story.

We may have made some LITTLE jokes here and there, but nothing anyone would consider really over the line.

That's the problem with censorship of any kind--in an effort to "protect" us, they censor us.

No big deal--just thought it was weird because the word to me has always seemed so innocuous.
