On our way back home we stayed by the lake in Znin and Zosia seemed to be keen to drive the car with trailer!

Even though the trailer is not completely finished, we enjoyed our trip very much and I hope we will also enjoy another trip, which we plan in a week of time. Seaside, this time!

Hi Tom, it looks like all the hard work was worth it.
You will be wanting to go camping again soon
I found Sulejówek on google maps and looked at the photos they have there. Where was the lake you camped by? I could not see it nearby on the map.
EDIT Posted this then found the rest of your trip report. I will have to go back to Google maps for another look. It all looks fabulous and sounds like the camping bug has bitten.

The exact name is Zalew Sulejowski and it does not reffer to a city located by Warsaw but to a large flooted area by Lodz, which is on our way towards mountains.

Thank you Tom. I looked at it on Google maps, it is a really nice looking city. I also looked up the places you had travelled to and looked at the photos on google maps. You sure do have lots of beautiful places to visit with your camper. I am looking forward to seeing more of your travels.
Suggestion, if you start a gallery on this site, you can put more than three photos on each post.

Hi Tom,

I have been following your build all along and I have really enjoyed it. Also thank you for the photos of your trip. Very nice teardrop.

I wanted to vote on your design for the side wall too. I really like the one in your last photo and I like your colors. I think all greys would be very boring and the colors you chose are a very nice little pop.

Happy trails,

Kathleen

During our trip we heard a lot of people passing by and talking about the trailer. All of them were of opinion that it is a smart and great idea to build such thing. I also talked to a guy who was a former Niewiadow (Polish caravan manufacturer) worker who was very interested with the caravan and said that would be a superb idea for the factory to start building such trailers for fishers or tourists, but they would build them from epoxy laminates and that would require some time for a trailer to stop vapouring toxic substances before its first use.

Today I nearly finished building the kitchen. Need to seal the sink and connect water pump and a waste water tank.

The waste tank I built two weeks ago leaks; I left it filled with water for a night and in the morning I found some water outside. So instead I bought plastic water containers.

A couple of words about a kitchen unit: I know the color is crazy but it looks really good and funny in this grayscale background of a trailer. I fitted two dispensers: one for a soap and another one for a washing up liquid. There are also two plastic containers located in a corner: for two types of teabags. Shelves on the bottom are for cutlery and spices.

Above the sink there is a shelf that can be open down: it holds a box with a gas stove plus extra gas containers.

I also started building a bathroom unit, but will show it when it is finished.

Tom - ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!!

I know how hard you worked on this and the trials you went through, but wow is that a great camper! And I love the color scheme on the interior. That's the beauty of building your own, you can do whatever you want and whatever makes you happy. Our interior is a strange light blue, with sea shells and nets.

Once again, great design and build!
