Sure do. That's the shape I've always wanted for a teardrop. It may not be the most effecient shape, but it's classic and I like it..............so does my girlfriend. Gotta keep her happy too! :lol:

That is looking good. Nice wheels too make sure you put a good coat of wax on them or you might get rusties like mine. :cry:

Chris thats the main thing.. That pertains to all who are building..As long as we are happy with our builds... and the pride and persistence to make dreams come true.. That is satisfying...and enjoying it after to the fullest..

And Wow - The fantastic teardrops that are produced...with the dreams..

But I now live on Teardrop Time.... which suits me jest fine....

Dear friends..

Am I gettin finnicky or what?? :thinking:

I now want to go back to square one since I dont like the height of 30 inches on our tear... :cry:

Also its illegal here to set the axle over the leaf springs.. UGH! and

When Madjack says his is 14 inches in height...from 12 to 14 inches. Yikes!

Will torsion axles fix the situation? I found a place that I can get them from? How much would it help in this case? Im ready to change over though.....

A torsion axle would really help to lower the frame, but at the cost of another axle. You can get them with different start angles. A 10 degree up angle would probably put the spindle about level with the bottom to middle of your frame thickness, or a clearance of roughly half the diameter of your tire. With the Flexiride torsion axle, you could adjust the torsion angle and therefore, the height of the frame as you want it.

Gee, Thank you for your assistance. Im trying to find a photo of the axles we have here and its details that show these available..If you hang on I,ll get the site posted and translate the wording for you..be back in a few..with the site..

If you can find a drop axle that would work. You wouldn't have to change or move anything else, just the axle. I don't think it would cost too much more than a regular axle. Definitely not nearly as much as a torsion axle. You can also buy it without hubs which would make it that much cheaper.

ok here is the website ....does anyone know how to copy the photo and such from PDF Format to this thread? From the website below?

Go down to the 6th part (Perävaunu Luettelo) - translated to (trailer catalog) and its in PDF format.

(which I dont know how to copy the photos or information from to post and make this easier.. :oops:

Then scroll down till you get to the axle that says 750 Kilo. WAGO75L and it shows the diagram with angle numbers and specs on it to get the idea of the axles we have here....Do these look similar to the ones in the States? Could these help our height problem?

Asian's solution is probably the most cost effective....I found the axle you are talking about and it has a down start angle and you need one that has a 0* or up start angle...that page didn't show them to be available but in that one start angle....
