If you have the separate amber turn signal then you usually have to get a converter to operate the trailer lights properly. The converter has diodes in it so that you do not get feed back from your turn signals or brake lights. Or you could wire the pins as shown above if you want to have amber lights on the trailer as well. But when the trailer has amber lights and the TV does not then it is a bit more involved. Not sure how yet, but I believe it does involve relays.
