I must say tha I have become what my wife calls "obsessed" with teardrop campers. I first saw one about two years ago in a campground in Kentucky called Big Bone Lick State Park. I was very intrigued by the small size, and wondered how comfortable it was. But at that time I was doing a lot of backpacking, and quickly forgot about the little trailer. Then I saw a VW camper this past June, and began to research small campers again and reintroduced myself to teardrops.
Now I can hardly think about anything else. I've decided I'm going to build one, and have even started sketching out designs for it. It's kind of a modification of the Wyoming Woody with a trolley top. I have done a bit of wood working I the past, so I'm relatively confident I can get this project completed and rolling down the road.
It will take some time before I can actually start making saw dust though. I have a number of other things that will have a higher priority money wise. But I was able to pick up a Northern Tools 5x8 trailer on sale, and will be doing small things on it in the coming months, with hopes of starting the actual build next summer.
I've been doing quite a bit of reading on the forum already, and am very grateful to all of you who are sharing your collect wisdom with us.
