Lurking dreamer from Wisconsin

Greetings all!

I have been lurking for a few months now, and figured I would introduce myself. I live in Madison Wisconsin, and my wife, young son and I are likely going on a long (3 week) trip out west next summer. While we have plenty of experience tent camping (and enjoy it), we are thinking that something a bit more luxurious might be nice while on the road for that length of time. We have toyed with the idea of a small pop-up and I have thought about building a ttt.

Long and short, I haven't decided to build and, given the fact that my wife and I are both students (we have neither time nor money), probably won't end up doing so. But, I will dream for now and perhaps jump off the deep end.

See, this is the problem. I get convinced that I want the simplicity of no trailer, then I see great pics like shadow catcher's and it changes my mind back.
