Hello from Tasmania

Postby art wanderlust » Sun Sep 06, 2015 12:09 am

Retired and with a ton of time in my hands I am looking for a 2016 project and a TD will compliment very well my other interests , nature photography and exploring.
This forum have fantastic pool of knowledge and very friendly members and I am looking forward to contribute on it.
I do not have experience in working with wood, steel is my game. I built 6 38 & 44 footer steel yachts to the stage to be ready to fit so I hope thet that experience will help me a bit.
I am looking on a traditional shape TB about 10' (3 m) long by about 5 to 6 f ( 1.5 to 1.8) wide.
The new Cub and the Campster plans are close to what I am have in mind with a roof shape a bit different.
Perhaps something like the Steampunk design?

See you in the forum
Cheers

Welcome to the forum, Art. Enjoy your time spent here and know that if you have a question, someone will mostly likely be able to answer it. Here in the states there is going to be a new show which features Steampunk builders, like a competition/reality episode featuring projects, debuting soon.
If you'd like to find out more about where we camp and cook, click on the icons below to view more of the area. Best wishes and success as you start your build.
