Newbie from the Netherlands.

After lurking for quit some time here on this site, i finally dare to introduce myself.

Hello, my name is Kees (smeerKees (greasemonkey) for friends), and i am from the Netherlands.
[ Pronounce: Kaas]

I realy like the concept of the teardrop trailer, and in a way i am a bit surprised that there is so little known about the concept here in Europe.

Holland is considered as a country with quit a lot of caravans in Europe, but very few small "sit type " caravans, and the teardrop concept in particular is very rare.

I have already desided to build my own teardrop trailer.
For me the build of the teardrop is at least as important as "the use" in going camping.

I used to like to tinker on old motorcycles for a hobby. Espessially the old BMW Boxer types i liked.
But since i no longer could ride my old Beemer because of illness, i decided it was time for a new hobby.

I will make a building journal called: meanwhile in the Netherlands.
I hope you all enjoy.

Greetz , Kees.

Welcome Kees!

Ah, camping in the Netherlands. It brings back such good memories!

I was stationed in Germany in the early 90's and used to camp in Ouddorp NL every summer, spending time bicycling and kayaking. There was a great place to get bbq'd ribs there that I really enjoyed. And of course the beer!

Good luck with your build, but enjoy the summer too!

Hello Kees and welcome!

This site is great and has so many folks that are really happy to help, from all over the world. I could have never gotten ours built without their help and encouragement.
