I fix computer hardware. 8)

I have an AS in chemistry and worked for about 15 years in actinide chemistry. Then I got a BA in professional writing and worked for about 5 years as a technical writer. And then I went sideways and started fixing computers (OTJ training for that). My other job is raising my kids.

My hobbies are camping, :ilovecamp: cooking, :campfire: writing, :frustrated: and fiber arts (I sew, knit, spin a bit, weave a bit, that sort of thing).

Spent 10 years in the Tree Maintenance business, then almost 30 as a Preacher. I guess I am one of those guys that prays that the tresses don't fall down after we've contracted the work out. Hunting and camping along with wood working are my main hobbies. Wish now I'd of taken my time building my TD. But Hunting season was coming and I wanted to belt it out. So I did and am enjoying it when I can, when the wife and kids aren't camping with me.

I am a Land surveyor for the past 18 years. Hobbies include woodworking, cycling, shooting, hiking, kayaking and flying when I can hitch a ride. I plan on finishing my pilot's license in the near future.

I have been an Aircraft Maintenance Technician ( mechanic) for 47 years. Currently am the Director of Maintenance
(Mechanic) for a four man shop. We do maintenance on General Aviation aircraft up to Turbine Powered Twins. I hold a Commercial Pilots License, with an instrument rating, and a second class medical, but mostly just do maintenance. I have restored several Classic Airplanes as a hobby. Currently am flying a 1946' Piper Super Cruiser that my son and I restored, and modified. This will probably be my last full time job. Just do not know when I will pull the trigger on retirement . I have a really good situation at the moment. I have the skills and equipment to build a trailer, just do not feel like I have the time right now. However there is a pile of steel and parts laying in my hanger floor to build a trailer frame.

Work at a large Midwest medical institution for 25 years. Last 10 years have specialized in physician sponsored research. Currently vascular device project management. Know way too many federal and international regulations, paper shuffling, completing reports, and ordering custom made devices to fix abdominal and thoracic aneurysms.

Past experiences include anthrax vaccine, small pox vaccine, making men impotent  (endocrine research).
Also dabbled a bit in home health case management for those with severe and persistent mental health medication non-compliance. (They drove me nuts).

Hobbies: geocaching, traveling in the teardrop while geocaching.

In reverse chronological order, the last 24 years I've been a city employee in planning, building permits and inspections, and code compliance. Prior to that I worked 12 years in commercial construction, primarily heavy civil construction (steel and concrete work) for industrial and utility plants. Before that, I worked various temporary construction-related jobs for 7 years included cabinet shop, framing crew, ready-mix concrete plant, building stone yard, etc. Lastly, I threw multiple paper routes for 4 years.

Worked as a bi-vocational baptist minister. Even though I have my degrees in theology I was always called to a smaller church that couldn't afford a pastor so I had to work also to support and raise a family. My secular job was as a industrial electrician a automation engineer. Then the last twenty four years as a facilities and maintenance supervisor. Semi retired now but I still work as a minister of education in a small church part time and took a job last year as a facilities manager.

Right out of high school I did a couple of years of construction work on commercial properties.
Then I went to work in a kitchen. I love cooking and would still be doing it. Except back then I was single, and the idea of working every Friday and Saturday night just did not appeal.
Ended up doing building maintenance. Commercial properties strip shopping centers, group homes, lots of apartment complexes, pretty much anything that came along.I did that for 15 years.
Then I did a stint in sales for probably 10 years.
Then I decided I wanted to go back to college and learn something where I could have a steadier income
For the last 8 I've been working as a nurse. I did 6 years in pediatrics and now I'm working in a E.R.
Right now I'm remodeling the home I live in, it was built in 1957. It is kind of an unusual house in that it still has all the 1957 fixtures and interior. So I have a master bath that has pink ceramic tile countertops with a toilet and tub that are the most beautiful shade of medium gray. This will be the third house I've done.
I am one of these people who have way too many hobbies including cooking when I can, and putting out when I call a medium size Christmas light display - only around 12-14 thousand lights.
