I have a local landscaping lot (rocks, gravel, mulch, etc) nearby which I will approach with my request.

Large metal recycling centers should have a truck scale as well. That is where I had mine weighed.

Re: Where to get weighed? : Scrapyard, Junkyard

I just today took this little cargo / camper trailer I built down to the scrapyard.
It recycles metal, and also has a U Pull It section for scroungers

Took about 10 minutes...simple, pull onto their scale, Unhook the trailer...pull car off.
Operator Beeps when the trailer weigh is done..hook back up..go to office, get ticket.....$ 5.00 bucks.

Funny, I 'guesstimated.' that the trailer weighed 580 lbs. total
It weighed 590 lbs. Pretty close.

It's on a harbor freight folding trailer which is only rated at 1195 lbs max weight
which means I can load about 600 lbs. Max.
Towing with a ford focus wagon....2000

BUT< it still will help because I hauled 'everything' up in just the Focus, from Florida to Pa
that car was maxed out.
Now, I gotta weigh stuff and research on loading a trailer the proper way.
:)

Like - what kind of place - what would I Google?

Use Google maps not Google and search for "truck scales" nearby. The bigger truck stops with scales will show up. Give them a call to make sure and determine cost etc.

Worked for me!
