Anti sway bar

Converting Cargo Trailers into TTTs

Have you checked your truck to see how it changes attitude
due to your loading method. How much does the bumper
height and level of the truck also change when adding the
trailer onto the hitch?

Perhaps you need to shift some things to the trailer to eliminate
the balance shift on the truck. Change the load or tow the trailer
without loading the truck and trailer. Quantify the change in
performance for us please.

If you have sway then some type of sway control will help.
The bar type should work but you need to watch tight turns and backing up. It can pinch, bend, and jam.
If you do have sway, the trailer tongue might be light. The tongue should be 10%-15% of the trailer weight. Closer to the 15% is better.
I have bigger trailers and I use an Andersen "No Sway" weight distribution hitch. I don't need the weight distribution but the sway control works great and there is zero bind no matter how tight you turn.
