Went to the propane boys yesterday and had two 20# cylinders filled. I did a little fact finding about gas regulators that hook both cylinders into the delivery line. Out from the back room came a staged regulator that automatically switches from the empty to the full tank. A little red indicator show you visually that a tank is empty.

Well I guess it is time to get to my plumbing supply shop and get some 3/8" black pipe and a few fittings to get the stove/oven and the fireplace hooked up. With the fall weather cooling things off it got me motivated.

I prefer the 24" OC. Good job.

Is your kitchen counter high? Or the stove low?

The entire kitchen area rest on a 13" shelf that covers the wheel well fender assembly. The stove rest in a wall oven surround that I modified by cutting off the top. This oven surround had a very nice glider drawer that will be used for lids and cooking utensils. Then the stove rest in the surround. I took a tape to it today the stove is at 38" . The white formica top was placed over the fridge and freezer and measures 47 1/2 inches from the floor.

Well some black pipe next weekend and the gas stove and the fireplace will be operational.
The regulator is an automatic switching unit that will change tanks without interruption. With the 2 tank fill it was the better part of a $100.00 bill but it is now installed and ready to go.

Well I was being a bit mysterious. I let the midwest group know but on 9/15 I was diagnosed with colon cancer. A week later on the 24th I was in surgery. I was a big scared baby going in , as I have never spent a single night in a hospital in my 65 years. Test after test after test all pointed the finger to the mass. I bargained with the big guy and cussed and cried but in the end I was blessed with a great set of doctors and all went as the surgeon best described as " text book perfect" . Without getting too detailed they took the first 3rd of my colon which meant disconnecting the stomach and reattaching it further up up the colon ( or is that down  ) I was shocked and amazed that 46 hours and 20 minutes after waking up in the recovery room I was headed home. Well not quite home to the house in a house but my gal pal's home where she has kept an eye on me and has driven me where needed. Progress on the Caboose came to a grinding halt but I am still here to finish it and feel great. It it weren't for doctors restrictions I would be on a ladder today. So I have a fellow from work coming today to tuck and finish the rubber roof of the Caboose while I set in my camping chair and watch :x .

Hell I am even going to the fall gathering next weekend, can't miss a gathering for a little thing like Cancer :D

WOW! Glad all went well, can't blame a fella for being scared when it is cancer. Praying it all continues to go well.

I understand your amazement at coming home so early. I have had cancer twice, thyroid and breast, and all the treatment that entails. Not once did I feel sick or in pain. Even after surgery.

Follow doctors orders.

 Dang, Fella! You're supposed to stay well and live forever!
Well, now that you've gotten rid of that Cancer glitch, maybe you will stay well.
...Let's hope! :worship:

Woah! Indeed, you've always seemed indomitable. (Well, except for that saw incident.) Glad to hear it went as well as it did, and that you've got somebody to pamper you for a wee bit. Enjoy the upcoming campout too, and prayers for continued healing.

Wow, Bob! :o Glad your docs are happy, but I know it gave you a major jolt of adrenaline! I had a colon resection at 41 (they only took 6 inches, pre-cancerous in my case), and I still hate waiting for the results after every check-up since. And yes, I have a check-up every 18 months to 3 years.

Take it easy, really. I think it was a couple of months before I felt great all day. I mean, I never felt REALLY bad, but I got really fond of afternoon naps and early evenings there for a while. ;)
