zowens40870, Howdy;

X2 what Gonefishin said ... haven't had a Coleman since the last Mrs. H and I split-up.
but I sure enjoyed while I had it.

Hello everyone, I wanted to post some progress pictures and info since I haven't been on the site in a while. I finished fully insulating the trailer with canned foam and pink board. I have installed the ceiling and added some shelves. 110 window ac in the barn door, receiver hitch out back. Added a propane tank mount along with a storage box on the tonge. Welded up my stabilizer jacks out back and added some vertical etrac. Also made a shower setup with an on demand water heater. Mounted an ARB 6'x8' awning with an awning room. I've used the trailer a ton over the past year for our house remodel and plan to get some more camping time over the next couple of months. Pics to follow

I'll get some interior pics tomorrow. I also bought a 50qt ARB fridge and built a slide/storage system for my 4runner.

I love this thread. I too am converting a 5x10 v-nose, but am very jealous of the height of yours!

Thanks for the kind words. Im glad to finally get to camp in it. Here are some additional pics I snapped this morning. I went with a solid mounting of the ac. I wanted to make it easily removable until I remembered when I lugged one in and out of a scamp I remodeled a few years ago. The mounts where shelf mounts from Home depot and I picked up the aluminum trim there also. It's pretty stout and holding up nicely.

I grabbed a few more pics of my shower setup. I took a rubbermaid tote from HD and added a standard exterior home faucet. The hot water comes from outside the trailer, through the floor and the shower head hangs on the wall. Showers down into the tote and drains back through the floor via a standard water hose into the sewer. I measured for the shower rod and had my local Ace hardware cut and thread it for me. And I setup the etrac to allow my Hammock room to hang. I'd like to sleep all Hammocks in the trailer but my wife and son currently sleep on a queen air mattress underneath me. I couldnt do a built in bed frame because I have to keep the rear accessable for hauling stuff the rest of the year.

I've seen lots of shower pans used, but they always looked too shallow to keep a shower curtain contained. I expect you don't have that problem.

We have no issues with the tub being to shallow. My son took two baths in it and two showers a piece for us. The only complaint I have with my shower setup is that it drains slow. Partially due to the side mount drain but mostly the cheap water hose being pinched from rolling it up during packing. Being gravity fed it takes a minute. The setup is simple, less than $150 and pretty effortless. And it beats wearing flip-flops in a dirty public shower anyday.

I also wanted to update from this last weekend. We made a two night trip to Hot Springs, Ar. The trip went well as did the stay in the trailer. Getting my wife in a hammock really helped the usability of the trailer when it came time for bed. And seems to be the best option for the size and way we use our trailer. I also weighed my trailer at the weigh station today and it came in at 1330. Factory weight was 990#. I figured I'd added more weight than that. Also made some roll-up screen doors that work well and cost me around $25. Bought the material at home depot and have a ton left if I ever need to replace them.
