Tennessee Teardrop

Postby Propstrike » Tue Sep 29, 2015 8:39 pm

This evening marks the beginning of construction of my 5W x 8L x 4.5H teardrop. I've been drafting plans and storing up supplies for weeks, and the time has finally come!

I'll be building in somewhat of a cramped space, but it will be dry and warm.

The wheels/axles have been removed, and the chassis is on buckets.

Using a Kreg jig, I cut and joined floor framing that will be sandwiched between two layers of birch ply later.

In a tight space after you put the wheels on. The HF square wood moving dolly's work good.

I'll probably leave the wheels off until I'm finished. I'll certainly take your advice and pick up a couple dollies to move it out the door. I'll put the axle back under it once outside.

Last night was my last bit of work on the TD for a few days. Asphalt coating for underneath went down. Now, just waiting for it to set up and off gas before I resume.
