Not a TD but rather a CT. That was the primary reason for getting into this project. If I had a TD instead, I would for sure use it for hunting using this 10x20 ft enclosed tent.

Just one of the reasons why I went from a 7x16 drop-axle CT to a 6x12 straight-axle..........I use it going hunting in scrub-country Texas, going up & down oil-field roads to get to the property. And when I get there, everything is essentially as I need it (in the trailer). The winds get pretty high (on top of a mountain) so no tents, we just slept on cots. The CT provides a nice break and if storms move in, already sleeping in the dry. Also don't have to worry about critters/snakes getting in my shoes or trying to snuggle against me (BIL had a rattler move against him during the night, he thought it was a mouse and smacked it pretty hard, next morning noticed he had crushed its head, he declines to sleep on the ground anymore)

I unerstand all of these points. I just looked at our hunting schedule for this fall and realize that I have less then 4 weeks to get my CT ready. Crunch time again. Where the heck does time go? Sorry Slow for going off on a tangent in your post. Will not do it anymore in this one.

One of the main intended uses for my benroy.
Main reason I insulated all sides :D Hunting seasons in Michigan tend to get a bit chilly

I figured a lite small trailer that can be pulled behind my car can get down all the little back roads that the car can, and since I'm used to camping rough, this should be the lap of luxury!
My build, 5x8 modified benroy "Smiles to go". Started April 2nd 2015, first trip August 2nd 2015.

Hi boyah, I know about those MI winters. Spent 4 years in East Lansing. Just by adding 10x10' minimum canopy with sides will make a world of difference. I used to sleep in the back of my truck and learned the value of the canopies very quickly.
