Hey all. Considering building a teardrop. Would be towing behind a Camry, and need to fit two separate adult beds and space for a now-toddler to sleep. Also, some sort of potty/shower situation would need to be included. I'm familiar with grey water disposal, and happy to research solid waste disposal properly, but I'm an avid camper, and spouse is not, so these would be necessary to make it worthwhile for spending the money on upgrading from tent to trailer. I'm curious about how/if anyone has made anything like this work already, or if I'm asking too much of something that can't be more than 2000 lbs fully loaded.

Hey Welcome, I just saw your post and for some quick answers Take a look at the foamie section and the builds that have been made. They are light weight and expirementing to find just what you want is easy. I suggest getting to a campout also it will give you a better idea of the size and the many different types. Another thing to consider is where you camp, if you camp in a camping park then having to put in a potty and all the tanks and stuff it is not worth the bother If you camp off grid then a seperate potty tent will work. My other suggestion is to read and read and read before you decide. Get real, Don't be like one member who went to a lot of expense and really put a lot of time and effort then, the wife said NO, Try to go to a teardrop campout so she can see all the different campers. Let her see and be a part of deciding. if building your own inside potty, all the inestment is worth it or having a potty tent is acceptable. She knows.
