After the glue dried I cut a straight line on the roof and front lower edge. I should have done this before the glue dried . Second mistake of the day. In any case at least I could see how well the TBII sticks to the Gripper, how well the Gripper stuck to the foam and spackle, and how well the spackle attached to the foam .

Just sold my two tent trailers so the foamie is now my only official RV trailer. Hope to get this one done this fall so I can start the bigger foamie in the spring.

Was hoping to get the roof done this weekend, but with other projects first I only got a bit done. .

Started with the back portion of the trailer. I was going to overlap the first layer with a 1" seam, but decided I had better do a 2" just to be safe. I sized the edge of the next canvas piece so I could cut a straight edge on it. I also marked a straight line back 2" from the first layer. This will give me a visual to line up to with the new piece.

Next was to apply glue and line everything up.

And once rolled out I have a nice straight roof seam.

Looks great! How did you progress with the glueup from top to down, making strips of glue covered canvas and riif and then roll canvas down until you are done with the whole canvas sheet? Did you use a tube rolled canvas again on this?

Nice work your seams look great.
Ive found that rolling it up as well as possible and unrolling it into freshly rollered glue in foot or so sections at a time make it easy to keep the glue wet and the wrinkles at bay.
I don't know about you but I found it a real sense of achievement to pull it off.
I also found it realy different with differnt weight fabrics.
Some heavy fabric worked alot easier than thier.

In this case I just folded the canvas over on itself so I could unfold it as I glued it.

George , so far , IMHO, your seam method seems (no pun) to work the BEST , and certainly is the Best looking. so far !!! I think we need to make this method a sticky for all to learn from ...

Thanks GPW. I guess I had not notice how other people where doing their roof seams.

Not sure how to make it a sticky though.
