I banged together some scrap wood and made a dolly to help maneuver the trailer around the yard. It works well. The pics should give enough info on construction.

I think I'll steal your idea. I have a purpose made trailer dolly but keep tripping over it in the garage. Your idea stows very easily so I'm going to put one together.
