I used a C7 connector with a right-angle

This allows the cord to lay alongside the cooler

The lesson?? - CUT THE PLUG END OFF BEFORE GOING INTO TRAILER........I plugged the C7 end into the 12-volt plug on the cooler (the black wire is on the far end of the C7 which coincides with the black wire on the original cord (towards front of cooler)). Not thinking, I then plugged the corded end (120-volt plug) into the inverter with an immediate blown fuse. Checking the power supply, found it was shorted

which cost me ~ $75 here
