Hello everyone,

My name is Jon and I have been looking at teardrops for a month now and wanting to do a build. Love this site. I have had a small camper a time out pop up that I used to pull behind my R1150GSA BMW motorcycle. Now I have a 10 month old and the time out has been sold to make room for baby jogger in the garage. I have already purchased a trailer. In a previous life it was an Apache Ramada pop up. I only have $25 in it so think I'm off to a good start. Is there anyone located in my area that i could come and see there TD that they have built so that i can get a hands on look at one? Also if anyone can point me to a build thread that someone used and old pop up camper frame for there build that would be great. There are so many build forms to look through with great info just not finding exactly what I'm looking for yet. I look forward to posting my own build form and getting feedback. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello Jon and Welcome. I remember your plight, When my sons started getting older one side of the carport went to big wheels and bikes then old cars being repaired. I am sorry but thoes things happen with a growing family. you will probably want to build a standie. there lots of builds on standies, I will build one with foam in the future. the basics are check your Tow Vehicle find out how much weight it can handle and build accordingly. .here are lots of build threads. Take your time and just read you will find what you are looking for and find ideas too.
