Just in case you're in the market for a "rug " to use when camping , you need to check these out, The selection is small but the ones the camp stores sell are unbelievably high priced. a buudy of mine that has one of those "Al Liners" turned me on to these. he says they rinse clean with a garden hose, dry fast and fold up pretty small . Is there no restriction on ground covers over there?

In UK many campsites insist on breathable groundsheets that dont kill the grass off.

We use rugs to cover the mud, the rocks, and the sand!

Your breathable rugs look like a good idea, and they probably dry quickly too.

We recently purchased a rug made of recycled milk jugs. We haven't had a chance to put it to use - it's that new. I think the brand was Mad Rugs, but I haven't found anything on Google yet. Price wasn't bad for a 4x6. It has kind of a floral motif to it. We'll show it off at the IRG.

The rugs from the dog supply place are made of recycled plastic. They kind of look like tha lanyiard stuff we used to braid to make key chains " in the old days" and they do let rain through. Like I said the selection is not spectacular, but a 9ft x9ft for $32 and change is a deal. Camping world gets about a $100 for the same thing

George's post led me to investigate "breathable groundsheets." The product seems very useful, and not as heavy as the RV mats available in the US. Although I could find a long list of suppliers in the UK, I couldn't find any in the US. Any suggestions would be most welcome. I do dog shows and have seen a lot of these. The ones sold at Camping World are more pliable and usually larger. My dogs get the small cheap one, I use the nicer one from Camping world. If you want to get the dog supply ones, find a dog show and the vendors will be happy to sell them to you and you save shipping. Some of the items they sell tend to get marked up but the rugs do not seem to be.

They may not breathe as well as Andrew's but they keep the dirt down and are easier on the feet than asphalt and rocks.

Leave event type as Conformation (they have the most vendors)
In time range select the month you want to use, click on the State and a full list will come up. Click on the club name and some site location information should appear.
