Like the others that have subscribed to this thread, I thoroughly enjoy following this build. The problem is that I just realized that your build is going to end in the near future.

Will there be a season 2?

Still a fair bit to go and im glad youve enjoyed following it as much as i have building it.
Ive got a fair bit of work to do setting up the trailer witch will take a few weeks then once the bodys back on ive got to make up all the sides and draws, doors for the subfloof access so rest asured theres plenty to go.
Im also looking at building a box for solar pannels, batteris ect on the front.
And yes i intend making another one of more traditional stature after tbis one .

Really looking nice now that the skin is on & some color is showing off the details. Lights & door look nice in place, great job! Good to see it coming together so nicely. I hear you about the amount of work left to do, even though it seems "nearly done".....

Hi Dale,

Been sitting and watching but you have to me thinking about the PMF finish. How do you see the edges being finished. In some of the other threads I have had a look at they have a seam of about 50mm along the roof line where the wall the roof layers overlap.

Are you planning on having that or have you devised some way so that you have a flat/smooth finish.

I have watched some videos of them painting boats where the marine paint is tipped so you get a perfectly smooth high gloss finish. Is the PMF finish going to be anything like that?

Hi laurie.
As you can see in my pictures (i hope) ive made my lap joint on the roof instead of the wall like most people that use pmf do.
I did this primeraly for two reasons.
I didnt want any joins on the sidewalls anywhere.
And secondly i did this mostly for the texture ,i wanted the weave showing and wanted a aemi gloss finish.
Im having an aluminium roof and edge trim so i will have no visable joins.
Hope that helped,if it didnt id be glad to elaborate if i can help further

Thanks Dale,

Explains it. I will keep watching. My covering of choice might not be available so just sussing out the alternatives. I wondered what you were doing with the aluminium you got earlier but I must have forgotten it was for the roof. I like the idea of the two different materials. Might have to do some experimenting.

Keep it up,

Laurie
