The slides are 1 x 1" angle iron. 1/8" thick. I think the clearance was about 1/16". But I played around with that quite a bit on a piece of scrap. I think you can see the angle in the close-up photo.

The slide lock was a head scratcher. I put a crossmember on the frame at about where I needed the slider to stop. On the back of the slider --the plywood the stove is bolted to-- I installed a couple of T-nuts to attach a block of wood that engages the crossmember on the frame. The slider is installed in the frame, slid past the crossmember and then the block is attached (on the bottom of the slider) with a couple of 1/4" bolts.

I used a couple of rubber tailgate bumpers to dampen the slide when it stops. One for when it's closed and one when it is fully open. They are attached to the removable stopper block, one on either side. When it's closed, the back rubber engages the front wall of the trailer. When the stove is slid out, the bumper on the front engages the crossmember on the frame.

Well ive been back on the procrastination train again....tossing up what to do with the trailer.
I almost cut the whole top off and replace it with a folded alloy tub but stoped at the last minute.
I have however started cutting the rear chasis rail off as its got a big bow in it from overheati g it welding it up.
So im replacing the back 2 cross members as its cheaper for me to do it this way than to pay someone else as i dont have the resources or heat source to heat it up.
Plus the lights arnt on it yet so it is technicly illeagal to tow .
Once this is sorted out im back in a tion.
Im just designing the draws ect at the moment.

Were you considering conversion to the dark, foldable side ?

BTW, did you consider put some bead welds on the other side of the members to correct the bows, but it depends of course.

Yea i distorted the crapola out of it so despite the extra work it will be easier in the long run.
The old building philosophy, if the foundations right everything else falls into place.
With the draws and stuff im building in the back it will be complex enough without having a wonky surface to build them on.

I didn't think about aluminum angle. The steel worked well. I'm sure a well-sealed strip of plywood would work too. I came up with the idea after a friend sent me this link:

I made draws for the back of my landcrusier and had a guy fold up gal steel draws for it.
I was thinking of using 1.5mm aluminium for the draws to save some weight and use inch square tube for the runner.
Being that the draws are 5 foot long i want them light but strong so im still throwing ideas around

Just wondering how you brought your cabling and water through the floor whilst keeping it waterproof.

Havnt got tbere yet but if your not in a hurry im right at that stage now.
Basicly i realy am just going to use comon sense and guess my way through it.
My plan was to buy hole saws to fit tbe hose ext and either use a combination of grommets and sikaflex ect to fill the difference

Just thinking it through at the moment. No far away I hope.

I want to bring my power and trailer wiring into the galley through the floor. Looking at electrical glands but the 6 B&S cable is a bit difficult when it is sheathed. Trying to fit all the wires into 1 conduit - 25mm. The other problem is that the thread on the electrical glands is not long enough to go all the way through the floor. Might have to rout out a space to make the floor thinner where I want to bring the wiring in.

With the water, will obviously need 3 holes, filler, breather & waste. I am looking for options here other than just drilling holes and using silicone. I have found a few pieces that might work, they are basically a thread with two nuts, with washers so when tightened up the washers seal either side of the floor (tank fittings). I will have to look at other options along the pvc line.

Anyway, the other thing I am looking at is how to deal with the gray water. I was planning on a bucket under the drain with an option to connect a gray water hose to direct it away to a suitable location.

I also have to fit my 12v pump in the same location so it is very tight.

Post some pictures of how you go.

No problems bud and im going through exactly the same process.
I sugest you visit clark rubber first and check out the grommets and seals they have.
Ive got some steel to weld i to place i picked up the other day i hope to tack in place tomorrow and im bri ging wires up through tbe galley as well .
I have a sub floor under it that helps but i dont want water getting in there at all.
Ill post some pics tomorrow
