BUILD #2 - A TTT with a difference

Postby felixx » Thu Oct 22, 2015 4:08 am

So I have not finished my Superleggera BUT
I am in the process of helping set up an organisation that uses Drones/ UAVs for search.
Im not talking DJI Phantoms but fixed wings with up to 6m spans, capable of carrying a 2 man liferaft..
So we need a trailer to transport them use as a mobile commant centre
We do not get govt funding so cheap is the key to start so my plan is:
a 10x5x5' covered trailer, with a 45 deg bevel at the front.
I plan to make the roof be able to lift for the rear half on gas struts to allow people to stand in there and look at the screens at the front

Pictures to come, but feel free to add comments.

Exterior skin will be Aluminium laminate (i can get 10x5' sheets)

I will weld the frame too
