I've read about how batteries give off gases and should be mounted outside, but also read some are "sealed."

I'm have this battery and was wondering if anyone knows how bad it is to keep inside the trailer (especially when sleeping), or how to find out, as I keep it under my bathroom sink to power the pump and hook up my lights too. Or does it just give off the gases when its powering something and not just sitting there?

It claims to be a Lead Acid (Non-Spillable).

Lead acid batteries give off gasses. Sealed or not. Mostly when being charged, but some nearly always. If inside, vent it good to the outside. What you have pictured appears to be a jump starter/charger. I own 5 or 6 wal mart deep cycle batteries. They work well for what they are, with a good warranty, but must be boxed and vented. You also want to charge them slowly, at a 2-6 amp rate, 10 max, for the best return life from each charge and battery life.

I enjoy this battery pack because of the versatility it has. Built in charger, inverter, "air compressor, jumper cables.

I've found out that "non spillable" means AGM battery.

There is a some common confusion regarding AGM batteries because different manufactures call them by different names; some of the more common names are "sealed regulated valve", "dry cell", "non spillable", and "Valve Regulated Lead Acid" batteries. In most cases AGM batteries will give greater life span and greater cycle life than a wet cell battery. (http://www.batterystuff.com/kb/articles ... asics.html)

From which I've read has "Very low to no gassing (unless overcharged)". (http://solarcraft.net/articles/gel-vs-a ... batteries/)

"The good news here is that hydrogen mixes with air very readily and so not too much ventilation is required" (https://www.boats.com/how-to/sealed-bat ... d-venting/)

I've also found breathing hydrogen is "relatively safe."

Hydrogen[edit]
Hydrogen (H2) has been used in deep diving gas mixes but is very explosive when mixed with more than about 4 to 5% oxygen (such as the oxygen found in breathing gas).[1][3][10][12] This limits use of hydrogen to deep dives and imposes complicated protocols to ensure that excess oxygen is cleared from the breathing equipment before breathing hydrogen starts. Like helium, it raises the timbre of the diver's voice. The hydrogen-oxygen mix when used as a diving gas is sometimes referred to as Hydrox. Mixtures containing both hydrogen and helium as diluents are termed Hydreliox. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breathing_gas)
