New Easy EZ UP style

Postby Toytaco2 » Sun Nov 01, 2015 6:21 pm

Has anyone actually seen one of these? http://www.ezup.com/aero-dome.html Could be the answer to canopies that are too heavy and too hard to put up by yourself. It'd be interesting to hear from anybody who has one or has seen this new model.

Interesting, the replaceable bladders are a particularly good idea.

The actual covered area is quite small compared to the footprint.

Personally, I like the hardened plastic version -- standard accordian frame and extended legs with side panels. Was available at Costco. Packs to about 4' tall, fits in our van across the width. Fairly light, lighter than the metal frames -- easily carried by one person. It is strong. I think it takes flexing better than the metal frames. It can be put up by one person with a bit of effort. Hard to move by one person. Most had no reachable framing in the middle. They sometimes collect water in heavy rains. But in my experience, almost all brands and types do to some extent.

For TD, the biggest issue is do you want to cover the TD. The easyUp does not go up that high. With fully extended leg, the edge is about 6'.

The one at the top (from the OP) does not come with side panels( I believe ) I have seen similar models. I think they are too light for heavy rains or winds. They are very light.
