Great Story Ray. You sure do pack a lot of "stuff" into your smaller setup. Lots of interesting ideas. How do you close up your back end when you sleep?

We have a very heavy (like two army blankets heavy) insulated and thinsulate on outside, "curtain" that closes off the sleeping area with velcro...keeps the inside nice and cool in summer, nice and warm in winter, and absolutely no light gets in...hope that answers your question!
Here is the post I did of the trip to Myrtle Beach State Park, during which we spent two days with an absolute awesome young couple from Finland:
Yes it does answer my question. Thanks. Your photos do show "y'all" having a good time and you are the master of making a 5x8 work. Thanks for sharing them. And you really drive home the message that in order to enjoy the CT and the sights (or sites) out there, you have to get on the road. That message is aimed towards me.

Well, some people will say I have overdone it for a 5X8, but there is a method to my madness. In 5 years, I want to sell everything I own, have a 24ft V-Nose cargo trailer I will convert into a full-timing trailer, with a E350 limousine type van that I will also convert into a "Road-Trek" wanna be to pull it. We will camp across the U.S., using the trailer as "home base" while we explore the surrounding areas with the van.
I am retired military, and with my social security (assuming it exists) and wife's, we will do just fine. So, all the things I experiment on with the GNAT trailer are to prep me for the ultimate one...
Sounds like a great plan. I hope you are able to carry it out.

I have had that dream for a while, just have to kidnap my wife and dogs! Then again I could leave for 6 months at a time like being in the Navy for 23 years. [FEARFUL FACE]

Just returned from a trip to Chimney Rock, NC, where we stayed at Hickory Nut Falls Campground. We also climbed ''the Rock'', went to Asheville, toured part of the Blue Ridge Parkway and visited the Mt. Pisgah National Forest. Here are a few photos from the trip:
