Welcome Rick
Your Teardrop project looks Great!
And Yes, the picture thing can be a bit of work.
Not that I am one to talk.....but, if you start an album here on the forum, it is easy to insert pictures from that album into your posts.

Looks good!

One thing that is not so clear from the picture angle is how much space was left between the finished edge of the counter and the hatch profile on the side wall? If you are working straight from existing plans you are probably fine, but this has tripped up plenty of builders, not leaving enough room for hatch ribs.

I like nice deep 3 inch ribs for a big hatch.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! the tip on counter to hatch space.....well you are right Iv left only about 2.5" but at this stage nothing is cast in stone and I have yet to position the galley exactly so ....really I should allow for 4" ribs? wont that make a heavy hatch? I can do if I need to since so far my spacing allowing for 2.5" still leaves me 82" for the bed and 11" for a forward cabinet.

Well the rain didn't do me much good! Darn! my barn floor where I'm working is now covered with water...and too damp to keep un protected wood in it ...so all the parts are in my little dry shop. But alas! relocation is upon me! My mom and dad (89 years old) are going to Az for the winter so I will rig up some temp lights and tow my project down to Shoreline and stay there the rest of the winter...at least their carport has a dry floor and I can put up some tarps get some work lights and fire up my snake heater...another question....I put one side of my 30" wide door at the 5' end of plywood location, this is leaving plenty of room for the fender because the axel is located 39" from the back. but does it look ok? being that far back...it seems ez to swing out of bed into the doorway...Rick

The Steve Fredrick's style hatch has a deep rib on either side, basically spanning across the arch of the hatch in a straight line (think chord with arc). You probably don't need much more than your 2.5 inch clearance if you are doing 1-1/2 inch ribs and 1/4 inch skins inside and out that's only 2 inches total hatch thickness. But what about the trim on the edge of the counter? Will that be a 1x face frame or just the raw edge of ply that you have now?

Like I said, it is probably just how the camera angle made it look in the picture, but it is better to think ahead and make sure you have your ducks in a row now, rather than have a weak hatch with a big notch in it to clear the counter edge later.
