I camped with a couple that made a Kampmaster. They did a fantastic job on it. But they still have a side door so there is access to the bed even if they do not open up the rear of the trailer. I will say that the canvas is a big part of the difficulty of the project. But man what a great trailer. I will look and see if I can find the picture. If I remember right they had a awning shop sew the canvas for them.

Go for the Kampmaster. It will only take a couple of more years.
