Hi everyone, my name is Brian and I have been lurking on this forum for a few months now. I decided it was finally time to be part of the fun. I found this forum after my wife and I decided to give up tent camping and look for another solution to enjoy the outdoors. We didn't want a full blown travel trailer, but want something that that we could hook up to and escape the city with little preparation and packing. I thought about building a simple box trailer on a used utility trailer but that was until we came across a teardrop trailer. We were instantly hooked on the idea of building our own. So there you have it, I am now working on my own build I call the Aero. This site has been a great reference tool and I couldn't have gotten where I am now without it. I plan on posting a build journal as soon as I can sit down and gather all of my pictures and such. Below is a rough AutoCAD sketch of the Aero. I like to use AutoCAD for as much as my design as possible. It has been a fun process so far!

It would be nice to see the design as a picture, I could not open the file you have attached. Aero sounds good as a name, I am interested in aerodynamic designs too.

Welcome to the Forum
You and your wife are going to "LOVE" Teardrop camping.
It has all the same outdoorsy opportunities that tent camping has without having to sleep on the ground or pack up wet gear.
And Teardrop people are the friendliest in the world.......you are going to meet some wonderful people!
I second Danny's invitation to the Gorge Gathering at Stevenson on the Memorial Day long weekend.
