Just a bit. Shoveled and swept off the driveway this morning. :snowstorm:

Have seen lots of the aftermath of the huge windstorm that hit a couple of weeks ago. Huge pine trees down all over town.

To stay on topic gas here was $2.33 a gallon last I looked. Have to love Michigan gas prices even if you don't love the road conditions.

Way, way more supply than demand, and of course none of the producers want to cut their own profits by throttling back...

Ain't it nice to have greed work for the consumer for once?

Just to stay on topic, does the prospect of sub-$2 gas change anything about how or how often you camp?

1.47 in Plainview TX, last night, and yes it does make it a little easier to hook up the trailer and head out. Now I just need more time off for longer trips!

Who remembers "Peak Oil" from a few years ago? I thought we were running out of oil & the pumps will be running dry any day now....

There is a lot more oil in the ground. All of the doom and gloom is based on the assumption that extraction technology does not and will never improve.

For instance, a major part of the boom in domestic oil production has been the improvement in techniques to extract oil from shale rock.

$.47 in Houghton Lake. :)

It's a beautiful area to visit if you're up for snow & cold. 8)

Is that .47/gallon ? We are at .65/litre and that's incredibly cheap for us

OPEC is trying to run out all the competition by dropping prices, but it may have gotten out of hand now. Iran will be back in the market & pumping a lot to build up their cash reserves. Saudi Arabia is still sitting on 260 billion barrels in the ground, at least that they know of. Gas this weekend here in Tucson was $1.53/gal. & still falling.
