Newbie from PA

Hi guys,

My wife and I just started building our first mini 2+2 camper, starting with a Harbor Freight utility trailer. Expanded the platform to 64" x 96" via 2x4 framing, did not modify the metal.
So far I've been borrowing ideas off of others and when in a real pickle, I've been forced to come up with some of my own. The basic theme is:
1) must sleep 2 adults and 2 little kids
2) must house a galley in the back for meals, washing, etc..
3) must be as cheap as possible (aesthetics are out the window, which will be obvious in the photos)
4) would be good if it stayed in one piece for ~5 years, stored in the garage.

I've completed the framing and the side walls, now I'm starting to figure out all the details on the inside. This has been a blast.
This website has been an excellent resource thus far. Thanks for that!

Many of us threw aesthetics out the window but we are as warm, dry and happy as the super craftsmen that embarrass us with their builds. Lee

Thanks guys!

I got the camper far enough along for the 4 of us to sleep in it 2 nights ago in the garage. This was a trial to see if we could handle the smallness, It's tight but definitely manageable... so the project continues!
