I believe Midget (Bob) did:
memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=4014Also, I believe that Gaston used automotive paint but I'm not certain whether he painted on plywood or something else. (I believe he is/was a professional auto painter.) It would take quite a bit of work to find his build as it was about 7(?) years ago. Some people on tnttt still keep in contact with him and maybe one of them will pipe up with more information...dunno.
A number of people have used automotive clear coat over their solid paint, on plywood. The best tnttt expert on that would be Doug Hodder. Also, Doug was around when Gaston was building his teardrop, so he might know about that one as well. You might sent him a PM. In case I have Gaston's member name wrong or someone needs an extra memory trigger, his was a deep purple color, made to match his deep purple PT Cruiser tow vehicle. He had a really bad accident with the teardrop and repaired it, using a combination of some left-over purple on top and some silver color paint on the sides. I think he still comes to the International Redwoods Gatherings (IRG) but I haven't seen him on the forum for a number of years.
