Clever sheet metal nibbler

Postby Treeview » Wed Dec 30, 2015 6:31 pm

First...I don't have any connection to this company.

I've used nibblers and I own a sheep's foot cutter that works great. A professional quality tool that I got at a fire sale for $15.

This nibbler seems like a good deal since it cuts smaller radius than my sheep's foot.

It looks awkward compared to a dedicated pneumatic or electric nibbler. Just saying, if you are going to go there, go there.

We metal fabricate a lot In my shop. And I have an air nibbler. But, I bet I have not used it in the past 15 years.
Reason being, when I did use it, it was messy (all of those little 1/2 moons that stuck to everything, but were impossible to clean up) and how difficult it is to cut a straight line (without a guide or a gig). But, I guess the real reason for putting it in the drawer and never taking it out again....was, that I bought a "Plasma Cutter" Faster, cleaner, and way more efficient. We use it everyday!
Best money I ever spent! ;)
Happy New Year.
