Thanks tim and yea ill be adding something else for sure but ill dwell on that.
Its a nice big space to add something but getting the hatch on under the pergola leaves me weth about 1/8"to spare so dont want to do it any more than i need to.
Im not sure if ill scre the leading edge down or not yet... ill see how it behaves when i vhb tape and sikaflex it down

I voted back when you first showed the triangle detail, but I'll go on record again saying that I like it much better with. It looks great!

A little hindsight, if you weren't planning on adding a logo or image, I think it would be a little "swoopier" (to coin a phrase) if the tip of the triangle came down lower, perhaps even diving into the lower hatch trim enough to where the aluminum also acted as a wear plate around the hatch handle.

Either way, it sure looks good.

p.s. Despite the fact that my whole build started out as a way to make the wife more comfortable about camping, she provides very little input more than loving support (she is not mechanically inclined at all). When she makes a comment about how she would like something done differently on the camper (like building a "cute" vardo instead), my reaction is usually a supportive, "that's nice sweetie, you can do that when you build your camper".

Lol...
Ive still got the larger triangle piece from way back when but it looks a bit much.

Ive played around with it a bit but ended up cutting this one yesterday and along with you ,everyones said yes so i recon ill run with it and the rest can stay blank until i feel inspired to do something else .
Thanks for the input guys

Well there she blows.
Worked out how to hold the trim on,screwed from behind and the screws will be covered by the hatch seal.
Ive got one small issue witch ill revisit when the hatch is refitted but basicly the trim ive used on the roof line isnt deep enough to completly cover the sidewall...im not sure if other than atsetics it will pose a problem but as long as i have a decent seal i should be right.
I could maybe fit an angle under the trim or something...

Forgot about the heat down there. -14C here last night and the snow is falling outside.
But the shop is warm and Kermit awaits me.
Sandi just reminded me that it is time to get off of the couch and get at it!! ;)
Stay cool man!
