Converting Cargo Trailers into TTTs

Winter camping, 12/2015

We like winter camping, so I couldn't resist posting more photos. Here is this week's work-amping adventure. This was probably the coldest and snowiest we've seen in our CTC. We're seeing 10 degree F nights and we've got about 8 inches of snow on the ground. Actually the most adventurous part of the trip was driving the trailer 150 miles through the snow. When we got to our remote town in north central Washington, we decided to go the easy route and opted for 30 amp service at our local RV park vs boondocking on our property here. The 30 amp service is nice because it allows us to use our electric heater and not burn as much propane. I had to replace our old electric heater with a new one today. The new one even has a thermostat. The electric and propane heaters keep the CTC as warm as we want to be. In the summertime this area sees a lot of campers. Not surprisingly, this week we had the park to ourselves.

The CTC is doing so well in the winter that I hope to take it skiing. My own slopeside, ski-in, ski-out house. How cool would that be?

Great pictures and experience. :applause:  We too like winter camping - at least the Texas version with no snow - because the parks are empty here also.

Hey Aggie79

Didn't I just read somewhere a few trailer parks got wiped out in your area, 11 dead and lots of flooding & more storms are coming. So this year freezing cold on CO might be safer

I'm getting endless 7 days of rain in corpus

Cheers ottct
