The Campster12 could be adapted to sleep 5, and the "prototype" weighed less than 2K# and gets pulled by an old 4-cyl Toyota PU ... have a look in the Design Library at the top of this page.

I have a family of 5.8 (wife is due with daughter #4 in March), and 5 people is a LOT to have in the small space of a tear drop.
When we do the full family camp, we bring along a decent sized tent, and those who want to sleep in the camper do, those who don't get the tent.

Dad ends up in the tent regardless, even though he built the camper... :NC

In another year or two I'll start on the next one, (already named "Whatever Comes Next") and then we will pull both. Makes more sense in our situation than cramming everyone into that tight of a space...
My build, 5x8 modified benroy "Smiles to go". Started April 2nd 2015, first trip August 2nd 2015.

My camping partner wants to start bringing a friend, my solution is to create a sleep space in the TV for them. He is ten, so they are old enough to sleep by themselves now.
