Need 5X10 Plans

Postby Dunbar » Tue Jun 13, 2006 8:26 pm

Howdy, My first post. Old guy ready to build a TD. Bought plans from desert tears and was not happy with the detail. Would like any plan ideas you all have.

Thanks

Dunbar

Thanks everyone this will work. I'll try to learn how to do pictures and keep you informed. I have a spare 3500# dexter torque axle. I hope it's not to stiff. Start build in the morning.

Adios :applause:

Welcome Dunbar,
I ended up modifying several of the designs here. There are a lot.
A warning though, they will keep you from putting screws in wood.

Hi Dunbar,

As a newbie myself, I have found Mike's generic plans a good jumping off point for a 5x10. Tom Swenson's build is good for techniques of building and 'thinking ahead' stuff. And the advice and support for questions you have from the board members is just fantastic. So, welcome and fear not, you can do it!

Hey Dunbar,

I see by your above post you started building a couple of days ago. Are you really building a 3500# teardrop trailer on top of that Dexter axle? We gotta have pics of that one.

Hi Steve

Yeah going to try to use this free new axle. Was a little concerned it might be to stiff, but I've got to use it. I don't have a dig camera so will have to buy one and learn to use it. Build did not start  broke my band saw blade. Ordered new blades and should receive in a day or two. Thanks for the interest I'll keep you informed.

Hi Dunbar, invest $20.00 in a cheap camera and keep Madjack happy. There's nothing worse than seeing a sad Madjack
