I went to the trailer tonight and it was still snowing (going to wake up to a lot of snow to snowblow tommorrow. There was no heat in the trailer and the temp was about 29F. My 6in MF was quite firm as in freezing up a little. I laid on it and it was firm.
My only concern is whether moisture will result when it thaws, so I will keep an eye on that.
But in my real world of camping, I will not have an unheated cabin, and I believe that the mattress will soften up as I lay on it and even if I had no heat, it would remain soft because of my body heat. The only issue is that this is my belief and I am not about to test it without heat.
