How many amps is the battery you want to charge?
How many amps can your controller handle?

I use the Renogy 100 watt panel system from Amazon. It works.

Lots of c good hoices available! Are the batteries switched? Meaning you use one at a time and switch from one to the other?

Like noseoil I am using a 100 watt/5 amp panel.
Its similar to this one http://www.amazon.com/dp/B017OMTAV6/ref ... 03PN&psc=1

My controller (which I love) is a Flexcharge PV7D which will change w batteries. posting.php?mode=reply&f=2&t=65290 The controller uses the PULSE CHARGING Algorithm which treats the battery very gently and works great. http://flexcharge.com/Charging-Algorithm-Explained.html

You can see both in action here

Good luck with your choice!

Thanks. Is having batteries swithced better? Is 100 watt panel enough for you or would you reccomend to get 150?

Its up to you. There is no right or wrong. My question about switched was to understand. Some people like to wear down one battery then switch to the other so they know how far along they are on draining the battery.

I am still not sure how you have them hooked up. Maybe in parallel?
If that's the case you have a total of 70 amps available. Not sure how many amps a day your using. I use about 6 amps a day maximum on a 55amp hour battery, If you can estimate or measure how many amps your are drawing you will know better how much solar you need to refill.

I just seen a FLEXIBLE 100w panel on eBay for 180 or so. Got my eyes on it.
Better to bring it and not need it...that whole thing.

Would this be a good set up? I need to power 4-5 lights, fan, 12v fridge, and like a laptop or small tv. With 100w panel that charge controller and would i need 1 or 2 of my batteries? I think I will make my teardrop with just 12v set up. Do I need a high voltage panel/controller or will a low one work too? Thanks alot.

A 39.5" x 39" renogy-store.com/150W-12V-Mono-Solar-Panel might comfortably fit your needs. It's currently priced at $204.99 with free shipping to the Continental U.S.

Renogy also sells three different 100 watt panels with prices ranging from $139.99 to $219.99.

Is it just the panel or a kit? Sorry I can't tell.

It's just a panel. You'd also need to buy a charge controller, wiring and solar panel mounts.
