Ground Hog Day

Postby Vedette » Tue Feb 02, 2016 3:00 am

It was tradition for my mother to make "Pancakes" for either Breakfast or Supper on Ground Hog Day??
Is that an old English custom or just a Family thing?
Did anyone else follow this tradition???

We did have pancakes for dinner last night. Some simple traditions you just can't get away from.
By the way, at least in our part of AZ, we will be having six more weeks of winter, however I am not sure that seeing a shadow in AZ counts.

Guess it was just something my mother came up with to help me remember Feb. 2 for the rest of my life???
I didn't get pancakes (even though I mentioned it).......been off wheat since the start of 2016 ( 21 lbs so far)...Sandi is trying to get me back in shape.
I always thought round , was a shape!
