What would you buy for your TD?

I still need to purchase wood to finish my interior. $500 would get me cedar plank walls, Baltic birch ceiling, boards for folding bed/benches and hinges to make it all work. I might also be able to buy a tongue box with what's left over!
My off-road camper build on an M116A3 military chassis:

I'll burn that bridge when I come to it.

I would replace my overhead vent with a 30X16 Sunroof and used any extra cash for a newer HF ham radio ie: ICOM 706 mark II

New tires & trailer brakes. Bought my camper used & the prior owner had opted against brakes. At a dry weight of almost 1200 lbs I think brakes would really be safer even though my camper is well under the manufacturer stated cargo carrying capacity of my van.

Fire and ice.
For $500 I could get both a Biolite camping stove and a portable ice maker!

Don't waste your money on a Biolite. They're an expensive novelty item that has been ridiculously overhyped.

New tires with wide white sidewalls, or one of those portable showers that uses the little bottles of gas.

After reading reviews and watching videos I really liked how little smoke they produce once burning... Plus if you run out of fuel it's nice to know you'd still have an efficient way to cook with just a few branches of wood. All in all (for me) it's a good emergency back-up if you have money to burn  (pun intended)

I would hate to list the items I have which probably were too costly, but they were stuff I wanted.

$500 would be buying food for the cooler and gas for the car and off we would go!
My trailer is good enough. All I need to the time to get out and use it.

I would add it to my similar amount of saved dollars and upgrade my choice of MIG welders to a 230V unit.
