Questions about Sierra BAK PAK

Postby JuneBug » Mon Feb 08, 2016 10:09 am

I came across a listing this morning for a 2010 BAK PAK camper trailer; with a total bumper to hitch length of 13' it is not quite tiny, but maybe petite. Thanks to Small Trailer Enthusiast I found out these were manufactured (briefly) by Sierra Custom Interiors, who also manufactured the somewhat larger campfire trailer. smalltrailerenthusiast.com/?s=BAK+PAK

I joined the Yahoo group for these trailers, but it is almost inactive (1 post in 6 months).

I haven't been able to find it on the NADA site, which is the Blue Book for RVs.

Even maxing out my google fu, I'm having a lot of trouble finding out anything else about them, particularly related to used price and original price. The one I found listed seems very over priced to me (2010 @ $8,000). The seller (looks like it is on an RV lot) claims to have bought it new for $10,000.
The only thing I found anywhere was a 2009 sold in 2014 for $5000.

Any information, comments appreciated.

So, I'm reaching out to the TNTTT hive mind for any information on these little trailers.

Ah, yes, that got some hits! Thank you for the reminder. My sense is that this BakPak is overpriced by at least several thousand dollars, maybe more. Looks like it has a heater, a rudimentary sink and that's it. No AC, no fridge; a very basic model.
It has been posted on Craigslist since mid January and is still for sale.

I ditched trying to sign up for the Yahoo group for the Campfire and Bak Pak campers when providing my cell phone number and some other info was required by Yahoo to complete the sign up process.
