Thanks for the information we installed a outside outlet and the shore power plug waiting for the rest of the electrics hopefully by Friday. Finish insulating the walls now the panels go back in place except for where the electric run. Had a great weekend but alot more to do .

After alot of long discussions my SWMBO and I decided to go with a roof AC with a heating element option. Happy that we made the decision worrying about installation.Updated my electrical and weight I am pretty sure it was the right decision. :NC

Looking good there Chief, I'm stuck for now waiting for a few parts myself. I went to a RV lot today and got a couple of good ideas today on a way to use a window ac on my build, still haven't made up my mind on that one.

Only reason we did a roof was I needed more room. Easier to deal with since we have 2 big bikes to deal with. I also put the optional heating to help justify the weight. It weighs about 100 LBS all together. Have to relocate the vent. :) Goal is to finish in April so I am recruiting help. A electrician friend is helping with the cabinet and of course electrics. I started putting the walls back yesterday and getting materials together. Thank God I have 3 day weekends. :phew:

Is a 15" x 15" sink a good size sink for this kind of build?

Hey chief,
A 15x15 is what I'm planning to use. Here's the one I'm waiting on to arrive.

A high necked bar type sink faucet and your all set.

I've been contemplating which way to go. I've installed several roof top units over the years for friends and repaired several dozen of them (I'm a AC tech in a former life). I've given the roof top consideration, a ductless mini split and after this weekend I'm giving the window ac another look.

I saw a small Coleman Rv this weekend with a window type ac mounted in a upper cabinet, the exterior of the ac was flush with the RV's siding and they had it venting thru a louvered exterior vent similar to this http://www.americanrvcompany.com/Norcol ... -Camper-RV vent.

My trailer came wired and braced for a rooftop AC from the factory so if I decide to go that way every thing is in place, now I just need to decide which way I want to go.

What I liked about it is the way it was installed. You can leave the AC in place and not have to move it once your ready to pack up, it didn't take up any space on the roof that I might want to reserve for future solar panels and windows units are cheap to buy/replace. The factory that built the RV used a 8000btu Frigidaire unit in a trailer about the size that you and I are building.
The unit they used only pulls around 6 amps when running. Since I still have sometime I'll do a little more research before making my decision.
