Slow, what do you mean about things slowing up? I have noticed more new posters lately and less project work from the earlier regulars. And for me, the winter months just put a damper on things for me.

All the new folks are busy catching up with the long threads, like the 2700+ pages of the "The new campfire thread...ooooh purrrrty!!!!!!" thread or the Big Thread over in the Foamie section.

Personally, I've posted more in the last couple months than I had in the previous 7.75 years I've been registered here.

Forum seems fine to me without any deliberate attempts to stir things up.

The forum is just fine the way it is. We don't need any drama.

....it's a joke Jerome?... looked and looked and couldn't find a Jerome who chimed in on thus subject, As far being to Wyoming for me - been there, done that many a time. Some of it is beautiful and sorry to say, some of it is the most 'nothing' I have ever seen - like bicycling (yes, 'bi'cycling which I have done just a bit of in my earlier years) from Buffalo to Casper, about 115 miles of the biggest nothing I have ever experienced in my life!! and I have seen a lot of 'nothing' being I road across the US (United States) in 1983 - down the west coast in 85 along with miles and miles of other rides too many to mention. I am just fine with the life I have here in one of the other 'W' states which includes mountains and trees along with the ocean breezes of the west coast. I live here on a island looking west over the waters of Saratoga Passage that I would not trade for anything!!!! - I LOVE it here right where I am !!!! and now that I am retiring do to the medical problem mentioned earlier, I will be just fine!! As for this Forum, I think it is fine just the way it is!!!!!! Take care and enjoy!! Gudmund (don't know if it was I you were answering but whether it was or not - you got my .02 cents worth out of it................

I don't know if this forum needs a "Livening up" or not. I have been an active member here for ten years. Thousands have come and gone. The information I gleamed here was invaluable in building my first teardrop. But better then that was getting to know others that enjoyed much of the same things I did when it came to camping and the outdoors. Friendships have been made through this forum that will last the rest of my life. What does seem to have changed is the conversations around the peripheral parts of camping. There are fewer conversations about, camping equipment, cast iron, vintage camping equipment, recipes, and places to go and see. Once someone has built their trailer they don't need as much info from that area of the forum. So to keep people around and engaged, it's those other areas of the forum that are important. That is the part that seems quieter. There have been many people over the years that you "get to know" from their posts, that you want to someday meet and camp with. Those people you get to know through those peripheral parts of the forum. So when I saw Slows post, this is what it said to me. Others may see it differently, and that's fine.

For major assembly, I'm in much the same boat (trailer?) as Bob Henry. I can do some work at my basement workbench, but nothing too big.

I have been waiting for warm weather too guys. This year I am trying to get my 1951 Silver Streak Clipper camp ready. So I am working on the beds and rear TV cabinet in the shop. Once the weather breaks, I can pull it up by the shop and get busy on it.
