D molding compression percentage

I saw a post about how much to compress hollow d molding. I have found it to work the best on doors and hatches. The post had a definitive percentage (maybe a third?),but my searching has failed! Anyone know?

Depending upon the type of seal you don't want to compress a seal more than 25-33%.
