I finally got around to making a camp site reservation.

We'll be at site 087 on Friday and Saturday night. I'm almost positive that's the same site we were at last time, next to the split rail fence and foot-path that leads to the next camping loop to the south.

Also, since last year, I have discovered the Joys of 12V Electric Blankets. My wife likes camping, but this is always the EARLIEST event of the year for us, and usually a bit chilly!

still no idea what i'm doing...

I also made sure to buy some Peeps to save for camping. No marshmallow is ever better than a fire-roasted Peep!

I also might bring the "Solar Death Ray". Its a fun demonstration for kids, and a very interesting way to make hot-dogs!

Ben,

While I have not tried the electric blanket route I have heard that a 12volt truckers mattress pad is much more comfortable. The heat is below you and not on top of you. Many people reportedly turn it on 15 minutes or so before going to bed and are warm enough that they turn it off for the rest of the night. Something to consider.

Hey there, everyone!

Can't wait to see y'all in a couple of weeks. I still need to get over to the food thread and figure out what we are going to contribute!

I met some really nice folks at a Mini Cooper drive/meet & eat a few weeks ago - and found out they are interested in teardrop campers! The are from WI (Stephen's Point, I think) and I told them they could come on over to Kohler to check out some units and get some ideas.... And turns out they are going to come and camp the weekend of Cooler! Their names are Amanda and Andy Fritsche. I think they will fit in very well. :)

Have you ever met anyone who is not interested in teardrops? I certainly have not, well maybe a couple who wanted to know if it had a bathroom with a shower. Still it's way cool that you have got us some curious guests.

Won't be long now before we will all be at "Number Ten".

Cook's Night out is Thursday April 28th at 6:00; location 8th Street Ale Haus 1132 North 8th Street Sheboygan, WI 53081 (920)208-7540

1. From the camp ground drive back and get on the four lane (Hwy 43) going north.

2. Exit Hwy 23 going east towards the lake.

3. You will go thru several stop lights and traveling more than a mile.

4. When you come to the first stop sign you will be at 8th Street. Turn left and find a spot to park as the restaurant is on the first block. Picture above.

Very straightforward!

Of course bring it if you still need to work on it. We can all come over and help (or sit around with beverages and just watch you work).

My Weather Bug reaches out 10 days of forecasts. 10 days can be along time and the forecasts can be very inaccurate. That said Sheboygan's current forecast is a high in the mid 50's on all days. Thursday sunny, Friday sunny , but a 60% chance of rain on Saturday. Sunday is 11 days away and currently has no forecast. I will start a weather dance later today. :dancing :chicken: :dancing

Good news...bad news. There was a chance we were going to miss the whole weekend - now it looks like we'll be there, but not until Friday night after work. Looking forward to seeing everyone!
