We have an identical teardrop, restored it 8 years ago. Because of a previous owners mods we riveted 3/4" aluminum angle across the inside of the roof using aircraft type rivets. Had to replace the hatch ribs and outer skin, plus the lower rear pan. stripped a couple coats of paint off the outside and a couple more on the inside. Removed ratty paneling inside and did not put anything on inside walls so it is bare aluminum. Fenders were rough, but got them back into shape as best we could. Wanted to keep them, as they are original. I rarely come on this site, but spotted this post and had to respond. Good to see another Modernistic being saved.
