I am talking about the title under our name. I know it is tied automatically to the number of posts. So, I see some are over 2000 posts, and it still says 300 club, Since I am kind of a goal oriented person I am just wondering what I can shoot for now? Or should I just sit back and bask in the glow of attaining the high honor of 300 club and stop asking silly questions? and if you set it at 2000 its gonna take me 4 years to get there and trust me you don't want me talking for 2000 posts!

At one time, there was talk about having additonal titles...1000 club, 2000 club, etc. So far, that hasn't happened. Some members may have requested special titles. And other members have special titles bestowed on them (Ira as the Storyteller for example, a well-earned and well-deserved title at that).

Hey Ma3tt, what are you talking about? I don't see any thing about a '300 Club' under your name. But I do see 'Dutch Oven GURU'.

Have a good day.

Dale,

I never requested the Geezer title, it was bestowed upon me. Who am I to complain? You're more of a geezer than I am, you ol' Cracker.

The tension between what is good enough and what is beyond that creates the space for character to become our work.

Steve,
If I remember correctly, you asked to have something other than "donating a Body part." I know this because I came close to agreeing with you. 8) There are some things one should leave alone.

Happy Fathers day all.

I was known as the "voodoo transmission brujo" for quite a while based on DHazards trip up to see me...and then in a late night "post fest" with MadJack, Bledsoe3 and Asianflavia...I got saddled with "Snoop Dougie Doug"...I had to go out in the morning and get a photo to go with the handle....I think it's kind of an endearing thing as there is a story behind all of those specific names...and a lot of them have either come from a camping experience or something that has transpired on the forum, or just who you are...and I'll always remember MJ saying...."fershizzle indeed!!!" 2 sec. later I had my handle, guess I pushed the envelope... 8) YO....Noamsayin' "Snoop Dougie Doug"

Mr. Dutch Oven Guru Sir...
I need some guidance.... Please, Oh Great Peach Cobbler Baker Of Many.
I picked up an old style Lodge 12"er and I've been attempting the electrolysis thing today.
After going back and combing through what I could find, I read and was told about the "Line of Sight" deal...
So here is how I'm doing my second attempt...

Image
After I submerge the oven with my mixture of water and washing soda, I'm gonna attach the negative lead to the c-clamp and the positive lead to the flat steel electrode.
I'm gonna let it "work" through the night and check it in the morning.
If it looks all nice and clean, I'll spin the oven around, like this...
Image

Here it is submerged and just begining to fizz...

Oh great master of Dutch Ovens...
Is your student on the right track???
